The Withlacoochee State Trail is 46 miles long, 12 feet wide, and
is
asphalt for the entire length. There are many parking areas,
restrooms, and other accommodations along the path. Inverness
is one of the best places to enter the trail, as it is close to
the
mid-point, and also has bike rentals and several parking areas.
This trail
is definitely a favorite, as it runs through backcountry,
swamps,
and farmland. Also, south of Nobleton, it runs past the
Silver
Lake Recreational area. |
