The Silver Comet Trail is part of the Georgia Path project,
which also includes over 20 miles of trails in the Atlanta Metro
area. Currently, the Comet Trail has 37½ miles which are paved.
When completed, it will be 57 miles long, and run from Atlanta
to Alabama where it will connect with the Chief Ladiga Trail.
The route is quite flat, with only slight grades but no real hills.
Even so, the Silver Comet Trail is very scenic, as it runs through
forests, cliffs, and
across bridges.
