On the Washington side, the Spokane River Centennial Trail starts
at
Riverside State Park and runs through hilly terrain all
the way to
Spokane. The trail passes through Riverfront Park in downtown
Spokane and continues east toward Idaho along
the Spokane
River. The terrain between Spokane and the
Idaho border is
relatively flat. Trail length on the Washington
side is 37 miles. At
the Idaho
border the trail turns into
the North Idaho Centennial
Trail and continues through Post Falls and onto Coeur D'Alene,
skirting the north side of
Coeur
D'Alene Lake. The Idaho section
is fairly flat with just a few
hills
to make it interesting. The Idaho
section is 22 miles long.
