The Lake Mineral Wells Trailway opened in 1998, and is
located about 35 miles west of Fort Worth. The trail runs
from downtown Mineral Wells to just northwest of Weather-
ford for a total of 20 miles. The trail runs through ranch and
farmland for most of its length, and crosses 15 refurbished
bridges.
